This medicine is a steroid-free skin barrier used for treating dry skin and relieving the burning and itching associated with certain skin conditions. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.
Follow the directions for taking this medicine provided by your doctor. Apply a thin layer to the affected area and rub gently into the skin. IF THE SKIN IS BROKEN, you may cover the area as directed by your doctor. WASH YOUR HANDS immediately after using this medicine unless your hands are part of the treated area. THIS MEDICINE DOES NOT CONTAIN A SUNSCREEN. Use a sunscreen or wear protective clothing if you will be outside for more than a short time. STORE THIS MEDICINE at room temperature, between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C), away from heat, moisture, and light. Do not freeze. KEEP THIS MEDICINE out of the reach of children and away from pets. IF YOU MISS A DOSE OF THIS MEDICINE, use it as soon as you remember. Continue to use it as directed by your doctor.
Some medicines or medical conditions may interact with this medicine. INFORM YOUR DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST of all prescription and over-the-counter medicine that you are taking. DO NOT START OR STOP any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval. Inform your doctor of any other medical conditions, including allergies; pregnancy; or breast-feeding. Tell your doctor if you are receiving radiation therapy. Contact your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions or concerns about using this medicine.
A SIDE EFFECT that may occur while taking this medicine includes a tingling feeling at the application site. If it continues or is bothersome, check with your doctor. AN ALLERGIC REACTION to this medicine is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue. This is not a complete list of all side effects that may occur. If you have questions about side effects, contact your healthcare provider. Call your doctor for medical advice about side effects. If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
If your symptoms do not improve within 10 to 14 days, or if you notice any signs of infection, check with your doctor. DO NOT SHARE THIS MEDICINE with others for whom it was not prescribed.
