What is Taclonex?
Taclonex is a combination of betamethasone and calcipotriene that is prescribed for the treatment of plaque psoriasis in individuals who are at least twelve years of age and older. How do I take Taclonex?

What are the possible side effects of taking Taclonex?
Some patients have reported side effects after applying Taclonex. Less severe symptoms include itching, redness, worsening of the condition, a burning or stinging sensation, dry or cracked skin, acne, or a change in skin color. If any of these conditions persist or worsen, contact your healthcare professional immediately.
Severe side effects requiring immediate medical attention include signs of an allergic reaction (swelling of the face, lips, mouth, throat, or tongue; rash, hives, itching; difficulty breathing or swallowing), a skin infection, irritation of the non-affected area, sleep problems, tachycardia or arrhythmia, and fatigue.
What if I forget to take a dose of Taclonex?
If you miss your scheduled application of Taclonex, apply it as soon as you remember and are able. If the time is near for the next scheduled application, forego the one missed and resume the regular pattern. Do not increase the quantity applied to make up for the one skipped.
How do I store Taclonex?
Keep Taclonex tightly sealed in its original container, out of the reach of children and away from the extremes of heat and humidity. Do not allow the topical suspension or the ointment to freeze. Dispose of any unused or expired quantities according to the instructions of a pharmacist.
What happens if I overdose on Taclonex?
If an overdose of Taclonex is suspected, or if it has been ingested, contact the Poison Control Center at 1-800-222-1222. However, if the individual has difficulty breathing, has stopped breathing, or has fallen unconscious, contact Emergency Services at 911.

Do not ingest this medication. Do not apply more than 100 grams per week. Contact your doctor if you become pregnant while using Taclonex. Contact your doctor if there is no improvement after five days. Do not treat more than thirty percent of the area of the body. Taclonex may make the skin sensitive to sunlight, so protective clothing or sunblock may be needed. Do not get this medication in the eyes. Do not use on broken or infected skin. Avoid hair color treatments for twelve hours after using the topical suspension on the scalp.
