Tarka Information:

What is Tarka?

Tarka is a combination hypertension medication that contains both trandolapril and verapamil. Trandolapril is an ACE inhibitor drug that works by blocking the angiotensin-converting enzyme, an enzyme that causes blood vessels to constrict which raises blood pressure. Verapamil is a calcium channel blocker that works by relaxing cardiac smooth muscle tissue. This drug is prescribed to treat high blood pressure only when a singular medication has failed to control it.

How do I take Tarka?

Tarka pills are normally taken once per day at the same time every day. Doses will vary by patient. Always follow your doctor’s dosing instructions to achieve blood pressure control. These pills should be taken with food and should be swallowed whole and not crushed or chewed.
