Vitafol-One Information:
Vitafol One is an oral prenatal vitamin that contains minerals, iron, folic acid, and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). The combination of these active ingredients in Vitafol One provides women with the necessary minerals and vitamins needed for a healthy pregnancy and after birth during breastfeeding.
Take Vitafol One every day with a glass of water. You can take Vitafol One without food, but if you experience upset stomach, consider having a meal with your medication. You should avoid taking antacids for at least one to two hours after taking Vitafol One.
Before taking Vitafol One, tell your doctor if:
- You are taking other prescription or non-prescription medications
- You have stomach ulcers or bowel problems
- You have a blood disorder
- You have kidney stones
- You are taking blood thinners such as warfarin
- You are taking anti-thyroid medications
- You are taking antibiotics
- You have any food or drug allergies
You may experience the following side effects after taking Vitafol One: dark or discolored stools, diarrhea, nausea, upset stomach, and vomiting. If you experience any side effects that last a long time or become severe, contact your doctor as soon as possible.
If you forget to take a dose of Vitafol One, you should take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is close to the time for the following dose, just take one Vitafol One tablet.
Store your Vitafol One supplements in a locked cabinet at a temperature of 59 to 86 degrees Fahrenheit. Keep your medication out of reach of small children and pets.
An overdose on Vitafol One may cause an upset stomach. You should contact your doctor or call Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222 if you or someone in your home overdoses on Vitafol One.
